Specialized Flight Training

Program Outline:

The Glass Panel Transition program includes:

  • Total of 5 hours in DA-40 G1000 for VFR Glass Panel Transition.
  • Total of 10 hours in DA-40 G1000 for IFR Glass Panel Transition.
  • Aircraft POH.
  • Aircraft Checklist.
  • Navigational material (charts, airport facility directory).
  
Scheduling:

The Glass Panel Transition program requires 5 hours for the VFR program and 10 hours for the IFR program. The VFR program can be completed in 3 flights while the IFR program can be done in approximately 6 flights. The scheduling is on appointment basis one-on-one with an instructor, scheduling depends on instructor and aircraft availability.

 
Requirements:
The FAA requires the following:

  • Appropriate pilot certificate.

  • 3rd Class Medical Certificate.
  • U.S. passport or birth certificate if U.S. citizen.
  • TSA approval if non U.S. citizen.
 

Prerequisites:

  • Private Pilot Certificate

  • Instrument Rating for instrument proficiency
  • No previous experience necessary with G1000
 
Price:

Pricing depends on program purchased:

  • $1,099.00 for VFR glass Panel Transition in DA-40 G1000.

  • $1,899.00 for IFR glass Panel Transition in DA-40 G1000.
